Re: The Mandalorian Thoughts
I noticed that my least favorite episodes 5 & 6 were the only ones not written by Jon Favreau. I have a feeling he wrote this story as a screenplay and it got turned into a TV show. They padded out the action and walking around then added 5&6 to fill out the season to play over two months.

They’re also the episodes that didn’t have a payoff in episodes 7 and 8 (theory about the figure at the end of #5 being Gideon or not).casinoskunk wrote: ↑December 31st, 2019, 12:00 pm I noticed that my least favorite episodes 5 & 6 were the only ones not written by Jon Favreau. Re: The Mandalorian Thoughts
Now I've seen it to episode 8 I've got to say that overall it was great fun. I've loved the gritty used look and the western tone. That slightly more cynical edge (more like Rogue One than any other Star Wars) really appeals to me. I'm a little confused about how this fits with the Madalore I've seen before, but my experience with Clone Wars and Rebels is limited so I'm probably missing something.
The side stories felt like they were just filling until we return to the main plot but that was Ok with me. I haven't had that Saturday evening episode of the week feel from my viewing for some time and it was nice to return to it.
The releasing one a week also improved matters. I'm not one that feels the need to binge it all but the being made to wait was fun.

Any one have an issue with episode three of the podcast? Comes up as 7 hours long and keeps skipping back to minute 2!

Just uploaded a new file to try to fix this (again). It's not happening everywhere, but for some people it was freaking out.JustKevin&aStool wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 1:23 pm Any one have an issue with episode three of the podcast? Comes up as 7 hours long and keeps skipping back to minute 2!

I am using Podcast Addict on my android phone, and it definitely freaked out on me when I first listened to this specific episode, and checking it now it still shows a more than 7-hour runtime, which obviously I could listen to you guys for that long, but it would be nice if it wasn't all the samePeteTheRetailer wrote: ↑March 11th, 2020, 9:51 am Just uploaded a new file to try to fix this (again).
