SWMLS Board upgrades
I've been making changes as I go. If there are any changes you'd like to see (or ones that have been made that you think should be undone), let us know!

Collapsed the boards into one forum for clarity.

Re: SWMLS Board upgrades
The only change I would like to see, if it's possible, is an upgraded header image.
That phpBB logo makes this look like a page for some sort of over the counter drug or something.

...is an action film made in 1982 directed by former stuntman Hal Needham.

It was brought up jokingly on another thread, but a "like" button might not be a bad idea. People like to have a way of expressing assent without having to post. I know the TrekBBS and Jedi Council boards have that functionality, but I don't know what's possible with this platform.

Yeah, I was just about to bring that up; I'm another board that uses phpBB, and it has a "heart" system where a little heart is in the bottom right hand corner of each post, and you can click it to like it. It shows how many likes it gets, too, and if you hover over it also shows the names of who liked it.Ceridwen wrote: ↑December 11th, 2019, 1:40 am It was brought up jokingly on another thread, but a "like" button might not be a bad idea. And huge thanks for doing this, PtR!
Re: SWMLS Board upgrades
Seconded; I'm genuinely moved that my thread about leaving Facebook led to this.

I would never have considered joining a board again before your post.

I can't think of a more important upgrade than increasing your site's security. Consider getting and installing a certificate for HTTPS. Having your users entering their password into an insecure web page is never a good idea. Getting somebody's login credentials is a trivial task when entering them into a page that is not secured. You can always get a free certificate from Let's Encrypt.
