Green Lantern

I am a big Green Lantern fan and figured, since the "Comic Book Reader's Society" page is here, I'd see if there are any other GL/Star Wars fans out there. I'll get the conversation by striking up this topic:

Name a Star Wars character and which Lantern Corps they would belong to?

I'll start... Greedo as an Orange Lantern. I mean, Greed is in his name.

I'm only sorta well-versed in GL lore, but I'm a big Grant Morrison fan. Would you recommend his current(?) run?

If Luke is the titular "New Hope" then surely he is a Blue Lantern by the end of that movie.

To be honest, this is the first Grant Morrison book that I have read. It's super dense, which I guess is par for the course, and it pulls A LOT from GL's 80 year history, but you don't need to know that stuff to follow the story. The artwork by Liam Sharpe is pretty astounding. See if you can't find the first issue cheap and test the waters.

I am a huge GL fan, so I am predisposed to like it, but i really like it.

Thanks! It feels like it's been forever since Morrison did a "straight" superhero title, so I'm really looking forward to picking up the first collection on sale.

Doom Patrol is a great starting point for someone getting into his comics. I'd follow that up with his Animal Man run.

I’m not sure if you read books digitally, but ComiXology just put Vol 1 (#1-#6) on sale for $4.99. It’s a good opportunity to test the waters, especially considering that the individual issues normally cost $3.99.
