I'm only sorta well-versed in GL lore, but I'm a big Grant Morrison fan. Would you recommend his current(?) run?
Yes. I haven't read much GL in recent years, but I try to read most of Morrison's comics. It's good Morrison and has great art from Liam Sharp who's drawn for 2000 AD & Judge Dredd comics.

I'm looking forward to the end of Grant Morrison's run. They are good books, but a little too dense for my tastes. I prefer more of a space opera and less psychedelic mind trip. I am not too keen on Geoff Thorne taking over the book, especially because of his public distain for Hal Jordan.

I was going to recommend one of my favorite Morrison books, the Flex Mentallo miniseries, but...

I might check it out. I don't mind Morrison, but I don't think he's the right fit for GL.
